How-to guide
How to Compress PDFs in Figma with Turbo PDF Exporter & Compressor
Reduce PDF export size from Figma while choosing settings for screen sharing or print production.
Start with the frames you need
Open Turbo PDF Exporter & Compressor in your Figma file. The plugin detects parent frames so you can select the pages for your document and put them in the intended order before export.
Match resolution to the destination
Choose a DPI setting that fits how the PDF will be used. A lower resolution can make a document lighter for email or online review; 300 DPI is available when print quality is the priority.
For print, set the bleed and crop marks your printer requests. Select CMYK for print, RGB for digital viewing, or grayscale when that is required.
Export an optimized PDF
Use the PDF optimization options to reduce file size while keeping vector artwork sharp and images clear. The plugin is designed to handle multi-page documents and high-resolution images without moving the work into another application.
Hyperlinks can be preserved, fonts are embedded, and optional link outlines can help readers identify interactive elements. Review your page order and settings, then export the finished PDF.
Keep the workflow private
PDF generation runs locally on your machine, so your designs are not uploaded to a cloud service for processing. The free version includes 10 Pro-feature exports to try the full workflow.
