How-to guide
How to Compress or Convert Images in Figma with Turbo Image Compressor & Exporter
Select Figma images, tune compression quality, and export optimized files in a few steps.
Select the images you need
Open Turbo Image Compressor & Exporter in your Figma file. It loads images that are ready to export; turn on “Show Fills” when you also want to include image fills. Once thumbnails load, select the assets you want to process.
Choose quality and export
Set the compression level with the slider or quality field. A higher setting retains more image quality, while a lower setting can produce smaller files. Click Export to open the processing view and follow progress for each selected image.
When processing finishes, download the results. If you missed an image, return to the selection, add it, and run Compress again; the plugin can process the newly selected images without restarting the earlier work.
Convert formats in the same workflow
Select the conversion you need from the image conversion control. The plugin supports converting PNG or JPEG assets to WebP or AVIF, as well as converting JPEG to PNG and PNG to JPEG. Export and download the converted files when processing is complete.
