How to Keep Links and Fonts Working in a PDF Exported from Figma

Check hyperlinks and typography when preparing a multi-page Figma PDF for clients, stakeholders, or print.

Why do links and fonts need a final check?

A PDF can look correct at first glance while a hyperlink is missing or a font displays differently on another device. Reviewing interactive elements and typography helps prevent avoidable problems in a final handoff.

Prepare links in your Figma file

Add and test prototype links on the intended elements, then make sure the corresponding frames are included in the export. Turbo PDF Exporter & Compressor can preserve functional hyperlinks and optionally add visible outlines to help readers identify linked elements.

Keep typography consistent

The plugin embeds fonts in the PDF to help preserve typography across devices. Check the exported document in a PDF reader, paying attention to font rendering, symbols, and any text that uses unusual weights or characters.

Test the exported PDF

Open the file in a separate PDF reader. Click links, review every page, and check text at normal and enlarged zoom. If the PDF will be printed, also confirm page dimensions and print settings with the provider.
